| I'm the one in the green jacket! |
I was born on January the 9th, a Capricorn, in 1974, the year of the Tiger.
I was born in Grimsby Town, a vary large town but not quite big enough to be called a city
(kind of like being the tallest dwarf in the world!).
Grimsby was once the largest fishing port in the world and to this day despite the near
devastation of the fishing industry most people still associate Grimsby with fish!
"Great Grimsby is a market town, a sea-port and parish - 168 miles N from London, 35 NE from Lincoln,
and 16 SE from Hull. This place, anciently spelled Grimsbye, is advantageously situate near the mouth of the Humber,
and is suppossed to have been the spot where the Danes disembarked, on their first invasion of Britain,
towards the close of the eighth century.
It is one of the most ancient boroughs in the kingdom - was formerly rich and populous,
and possessed a considerable share of foreign commerce and internal traffic."
- Lincolnshire Directory, Pigot & Co., 1841
Both my mother and father have spent their lives working in the fish industry, my father as a filleter
and my mother in various factories. Despite these modest surroundings my parents provided me with a great
upbringing, even helping me to become one of, if not the first member of my family to go to University.
I am determined to make my parents proud and make the most of my life. I try to live everyday as though
it is my last because I know one day it will be.

| Penthouse Billiards! - 25 September 2006 |
| Although I started getting back into pool again over the last few years I found it hard to put in the practice required. I worked all day and the local pool halls had poor tables, and even less competition. Therefore I decided to buy my own 9ft table so I could practice anytime I wanted to after work. I measured my flat up and to my suprise it seemed big enough for a full sized table. Unconvinced I made a carboard table and sat it on my ironing board! Eureka it was the perfect size!!! |

| 2005 - World Wide Adventure and My Dream TV Debut! - 31 December 2005 |
| What a year! I will always remember 2005 as the year I rediscovered my passion for pool and lived the dream.
I had been in Australia for almost 5 years and I missed family and friends in England. I was also a bit burnt out from IT so I decided to take a break. The goal was simple: travel, play pool, and spend sometime back in England. |

| My First Wheels! - 01 September 2005 |
| I bought my first vehicle in Sydney Australia in January 2002. However my first wheels where not a car! I had been turned down at the last minute for finance for a MGF convertable so I decided to buy a Italjet Dragster Scooter! 0-60 in under 6 seconds, awesome acceleration and handling with racing disc breaks!
However in 2005 I decided to swap my beloved scooter for my first car, a 2001 ford puma! A former Car of the Year, handling designed by jackie Stuart, and the reliability of a ford fiesta made this car an easy choice. It's great to drive and I'm sure I'll keep it for a few years at least (well until I buy my ferrari! :) |

| 31st Birthday - Lets (Hard) Rock! - 09 January 2005 |
| I happened to turn celebrate my 31st birthday in Pattaya, Thailand this year. It was on January the 9th (just like last year coincidently) and just a few days after the devastating Tsunami in south Thailand. Therefore Pattaya was pumping and I had a nice meal and got wasted in the new Hard Rock Cafe on the Beach!
It doesn't seem like five minutes since I was swimming in the sea admiring the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia last year, oh well - soon be dead! :( |

However never one to miss out on free stopover's I got to see Ayers Rock, Darwin and Borneo on the way! After starting the year visiting Queensland, summer vacations in Las Vegas and Skiing in the Snowy Mountains this really was a year of adventure!

| 'Sue the Bastards' - 17 January 2004 |
| I bought Richard Bransons "Losing my virginity" book in 2001. It's a great book about a man who ovbiously knows how to live life to max and still find time to run his business empire. Most people seem to trust Mr Branson and its obvious he has the respect of all his employees. A business will never succeed unless the people that manage it lead from the front. My favourite chapter has to be "Sue the bastards"! It's unbelievable what so called "respectable" companies will stoop to when it comes to Money! |

| Dirty Thirty - 09 January 2004 |
| Wow, where the f*ck did that come from! Yes it's true, on January 9th 2004 I turned the big three'0, dirty thirty! In order to celebrate this momentous occassion I headed up to Queensland in true riley fashion to do something memorable. What could be more memorable than spending the day scuba diving with turtles, sharks, and huge grupper fish on the great barrier reef - unforgetable!
We also spent New Year in Surfers Paradise and visited fraser island, the biggest sand island in the world. |

| 2003 - The good the bad and the pink and fluffy - 31 December 2003 |
| What a year it was, more ups and downs than I can remember. The highs included my parents amazing visit to Sydney, finishing 13th in the US National 8 ball championships and getting married in Las Vegas of course! But alas there has to be lows, the numerous visits to hospital with chest pains due to work stress and leaving Reading Room where undoubtable lows. But the betrayal by a good friend and colleague was a harsh lesson and something that I will never forget. |

| Mark and Jasmine - 29 December 2003 |
| It was without doubt the best indian and second best of any wedding I have ever been too. OK so I have only been to two weddings(apart from my own) and the other one was my sisters! Seriously though this was about as good as a wedding gets, it had it all; free food and drink, fancy dress, live satellite link to the UK, great speaches, fire dancing, cake and not forgetting the thing that held it all together - true love! |
