In my first ever 9 ball event I drew Ian Barber, a BCA master in the first round. I won this and my next couple of matches before losing to my good friend Andrew Gillson (VNEA Master). This put me in the loser side and I had to face the prospect of having to come back to play snooker and 9 ball professional Johl Younger the next day!
I returned and went 3:0 down to Johl very quickly before winning the next 5 frames in a row to win 5:3. Next I had to play Steve Misfud, world amateur snooker champion. I beat Steve and then won my next match to set up a semi final with Dave Reljic, full time 9 ball professional and BCA master. I beat Dave 11:10 before losing 11:9 in the final to Ben Nunan.
