2006 Euro Tour - Austria - 07 June 2006
I arrived in Austria early after spending the night in a Stansted airport hotel for an early morning flight. I had spent spent most of the previous week in the USA playing in the world straight pool championships so I had hopes of doing well in Austria. Again I met a few of the British guys at the airport and we all caught a cab from the airport in Germany across the border to the club in Rankweil.
When I walked into the pool hall I met Steve (aka no-sho from AZ Billiards) and he bought me a beer. After catching up with Steve I practiced for a couple of hours before checking into my hotel. Rankweil was a small town but extreemly pretty surrounded by the alps. the hotels where spread out but a frequent shuttle service was run by the pool hall.
