I was determined to experience the occassion nevertheless and we headed off to gients stadium. I decided to go to America for a year after quiting Loughborough Univerity. I had chosen the wrong course and I wanted to take a year out to 'find myself' and err, party! I arrived in New York City and the sight of its imposing skyline is something I'll never forget. I met my friend Jim in the middle of Manhatton and we decieded to try and buy some blackmarket tickets. England new of my plans to go to America and had deliberatly avoided qualification in order to spoil my trip.
